Welcome to the Rational Number Reasoning Database. The database was designed and constructed by researchers at the GISMO group (Generating Increased Science and Mathematics Opportunities) led by Drs. Jere Confrey and Alan Maloney of North Carolina State University with funding from the National Science Foundation (DRL-0758151). The goal of the database is to provide a comprehensive bibliographic and assessment database for the rich research literature in rational number reasoning. We particularly acknowledge the work of Kenny Nguyen, Pedro Larios (Austin Programming Solutions) and Anne Bollmeier for their considerable contributions to the design and engineering of the database. We also acknowledge the many graduate students, from North Carolina State University, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of Missouri at Columbia, who have contributed the majority of the article reviews in the database.
Please browse the database by Rational Number Topic, or perform 'simple' or 'advanced' searches, to view completed article, book chapter, or conference presentation reviews, or assessment items that have been posted or summarized. Due to copyright restrictions, we cannot provide access to the articles themselves. Each item (article, book chapter, conference presentation) is assigned to only a single RNR topic area, to avoid duplications in the database cataloguing. Please note that articles catalogued under one RNR topic may be applicable to other RNR topics. This database is a work in progress and we appreciate feedback and recommendations for articles for inclusion. Please email all correspondences to database@gismosite.org.
